This is The Elliot Maternity Center
Welcome to the Maternity Center at Elliot Hospital, home to the largest birthing center in New Hampshire, with staff assisting in the birth of more than 2,600 new babies each year. We are proud to assist each family in their new journey and offer family-centered care individualized to each family's needs. Our obstetrical service provides state-of-the-art care and is prepared to assist in any type of birth from hypnobirthing to the high-risk delivery of triplets. Our ultimate goal is to support the family and we are committed to achieving this within a safe, secure, private room setting. We feel privileged to be part of each new baby's first encounter with the world and thank our families who have chosen us to be part of their experience. In fact, we think our babies are so special, each delivery is heralded with the Braham's Lullaby played over a special intercom system for the entire hospital to enjoy!
The Maternity Center is the only birthing center in the Greater Manchester area that features an on-site, Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that enables us to keep families together should their newborns require a higher level of care.
The maternity nurses follow the Elliot Model of Nursing Care, which is comprised of four elements: Teamwork, Collaboration, Caring, and Continuity. You will find each Elliot Nurse committed to these values, which is evident in the care they provide to your family and newborn . The Maternity Center works in collaboration with our Lactation Consultant Program and Childbirth and Parenting Education in order to support the full continuum of services needed by our families.
Suite Comfort
Elliot is delivering Suite Comfort and a touch of luxury in our newly renovated Maternity rooms. Each room features privacy for the family in a hotel like setting. Everything from personal armoires, DVD’s, refrigerator, room service style dining, family breakfast buffets and a bed for your birthing partner make this experience the very best. You will not feel like you are in a hospital and Elliot will send you home with gourmet meals to keep you healthy while you settle back into your home with your new baby.
