    Meet the Staff

    Ken Lerner, M.D.

    Ken Lerner, MD, specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry. Prior to joining Manchester Counseling, Dr. Lerner was a staff psychiatrist at the New Hampshire Hospital in Concord, NH and practiced privately.

    He received his Medical degree from Wayne State University of Medicine in Detroit and completed his residency in Pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and psychiatry residency/ child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He holds board certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as the American Board of Pathology.

     

    Jodi Carner-Higgins, MS, CS, ARNP

    Jodi Carner-Higgins, MS, CS, ARNP, is board certified as a clinical specialist in child and adolescent psychiatric and mental health nursing. She specializes in the psychopharmacological management of symptoms associated with AD/HD, mood/depressive disorders, and anxiety disorders.

    Jodi is a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA, Emory University-Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, Atlanta, GA, and Boston University-Graduate School of Nursing. Jodi has over 20 years of experience in both in-patient and outpatient mental health.

     

    Carol Knieriem, MSW

    Carol Knieriem, LICSW, has 20 years of experience as a general psychotherapist and sees adults, individuals or couples with marital issues, depression, anxiety, stress, mood disorders, trauma, women’s issues, anger management, sexual/physical abuse, divorce and parenting challenges.

    Ms. Knieriem graduated from the University of New Hampshire, Durham and received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. Carol completed her internship at the Greater Lynn Medical Health Center and Union Hospital in Lynn, MA.

     

    Faith Minard, ARNP

    Faith Minard, ARNP, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and has worked in the greater Manchester area since 1983. She provides counseling and medication management to adults. Faith specializes in women’s issues including emotional aspects of pregnancy, postpartum, depression/anxiety, infertility and pregnancy loss. She is a graduate of Bates College, Lewiston, ME and holds a Masters of Science in Nursing from Yale University, New Haven, CT.

     

    Rene J. Lambert, MD

    Rene J. Lambert, MD, has been a provider with Elliot Health System and private practitioner for over 30 years. Throughout his career in psychiatry, he has held such notable positions as Chief of Psychiatry at the Elliot Hospital and Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH and was a consultant to the Veterans Administration Medical Center, also in Manchester.

    Dr. Lambert attained his Bachelor of Arts from Levis College, Prov. Of Quebec, Canada and later attended Laval University Medical School in Quebec City, Prov. Of Quebec, Canada. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Traverse City State Hospital, Michigan and later joined the staff as an instructor. He is licensed in the state of New Hampshire, is a former president of the NH Psychiatric Society and maintains memberships in many professional societies including the NH Psychiatric Society and the American Medical Association.

    Kristi Zemanek, PsyD

    Kristi Zemanek, MA, PsyD practices adult and geriatric Neuropsychology, Psychological Assessment, and Psychotherapy. Dr. Zemanek specializes in the evaluation/assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult Attention Deficit Disorders, adult learning problems, Brain Injury, Vascular Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, Vascular Dementia, Depression and other neurological and psychological disorders affecting the central nervous system. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH, teaching a variety of courses in psychology.

    Dr. Zemanek completed a neuropsychology and geriatric post-doc with the Boston Consortium in Psychology at the Boston VA Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, and Boston University. She completed her internship in neuropsychology and geriatrics at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida and received her Masters Degree and Doctoral Degree from Argosy University in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Zemanek is a licensed Psychologist in the state of New Hampshire.

    Ramona V. Abella, LCMHC, NCC

    Ramona V. Abella, LCMHC, NCC has over 22 years of experience as a behavioral health clinician with a versatile inpatient and outpatient background. She has served adolescent and adult populations affected by a broad spectrum of issues, including but not limited to mood disorders, challenging relationships, self-esteem and self-confidence, parenting skills, grief and loss, stress and pain management, sobriety maintenance, and traumatic brain injury or stroke. Her therapeutic focus is solution oriented and includes teaching life skills that emphasize the mind-body connection.

    Ms. Abella graduated from UNH/Durham with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology and Minor in Women's Studies. She obtained her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch University Graduate School in Keene, NH. Her academic and professional affiliations include Phi Beta Kappa Society, Association for Women in Psychology, and the NH Mental Health Counselors Association.

     

    Shawne D. Diaz, MA, LCMHC

    Shawne D. Diaz, MA, LCMHC, practices adult individual counseling and group anger management. She is experienced in crisis intervention, short-term inpatient treatment and works within a cognitive behavioral framework with a special interest in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She specializes in adults with depression/anxiety disorders as well as those who are experiencing grief and divorce.

    Ms. Diaz graduated from Notre Dame College, Manchester, NH with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology. She completed her internship at the Community Internship Collaborative in Manchester, NH. She is licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of New Hampshire.

    Linda Bagshaw, LCMHC

    Linda Bagshaw, LCMHC, specializes in children, adolescents and young adults with cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities. She treats clients diagnosed with ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and Conduct Disorder, depression, anxiety, Bi-Polar Disorder and obsessive-compulsive behavior. She also provides therapy to clients who have been sexually abused or molested and children with Reactive Attachment Disorder.

    Linda counsels children who have lost a parent through suicide, divorce, abandonment, abuse or neglect and works with foster children and children living in a group home setting. She has prepared teens for independent living, including teaching parenting skills to pregnant teens.

    She obtained a Bachelors degree from Springfield College of Human Services, Springfield, MA and received a Masters degree from Notre Dame College, Manchester, NH. Linda is a licensed clinical mental health counselor.

    Lisa D. Jobin, MA, LCMHC

    Lisa D. Jobin, MA, LCMHC has a general psychotherapy practice devoted to adults and specializes in faith-based counseling. She assists people with depression, anxiety, stress, mood disorders, trauma, women’s issues, anger management, and divorce.

    Lisa is a graduate from Notre Dame College, Manchester, NH with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, a certification in church ministry and is licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of New Hampshire.

    Seth Wizwer MA, LCMHC, LCPC

    Seth Wizwer MA, LCMHC, LCPC, holds a Masters degree in Community Mental Health from Notre Dame College, Manchester, NH and offers over seven years of counseling experience. He is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the states of New Hampshire and Maine and practices a cognitive behavioral approach to the counseling of children, adolescents, and adults. Seth treats clients diagnosed with ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and Conduct Disorder, depression, anxiety, Bi-Polar Disorder and obsessive-compulsive behavior. He has a specialized interest in teenage mood disorders. When it is advantageous to clients, Seth also sees couples and families.

    His past experience includes: school and community mental health center client advocacy, and clinical settings such as Portsmouth Regional Hospital’s Behavioral Health Unit and the Seacoast Mental Health Center.

    Tracey Coulon, LICSW

    Tracey Coulon, LICSW, brings over six years experience in counseling to Elliot Behavioral Health. She specializes in: women’s issues, parenting, women and children with abuse and trauma histories, depression, anxiety and self esteem issues. Tracey is also experienced in working with women and children who have been homeless, or affected by domestic violence and loss.

    She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Springfield College School of Human Services, Springfield, MA, and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston University School of Social Work, Boston, MA. Tracey is a licensed by the NH Board of Mental Health as an Independent Clinical Social Worker.

    Her professional affiliations include the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and EMDRIA (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association).
