About The Elliot Adult Day Program
The Elliot Adult Day Program is designed to allow caregivers peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are in a safe and home-like environment during the day. Participants of the day program can relax and meet new people and are provided with health and social services, therapeutic activities, transportation, and meals. Elliot Adult Day Program is licensed and certified by the State of New Hampshire and is a charter member of the Adult Day Care Providers of New Hampshire.
Who Benefits from the Adult Day Program?
At The Elliot Adult Day Program, we combine fun and laughter with companionship and professional care. Men and women who attend the center find it a place where they can relax and be comfortable, make new friends and have an interesting, enjoyable day. The support they give one another, and the encouragement and support they receive from the professional staff, is often the magical combination needed to improve the quality of their lives. Family caregivers have peace of mind, as a result of knowing their loved ones are in a safe, dignified, nurturing, and home-like environment.
A health assessment is provided to participants at the time of admission. The center's nurses work with individuals, their families, and physicians to develop a nursing care plan tailored to each person's diet, exercise, activity, medication, and therapy needs. As an affiliate of Elliot Health System, Elliot Adult Day Program is able to take advantage of this network's many services and make them available to participants and their families.
Therapeutic Activities
The activities coordinator plans daily program that include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Hobbies, arts, and crafts
- Parties and holiday festivities
- Daily chair exercises
- Bowling, bingo, and other activities including cooking and musical entertainment.
Case Management
Case management services and consultations regarding long-term care are available by request.
Transportation
Transportation is available and can be arranged for individuals according to their need and level of mobility. Contact Adult Day Program for more information about fees and scheduling.
Meals
Nutritious meals and snacks are provided in a family-style setting. Accommodations can be made for those on special diets.
Elliot Adult Day Program accepts payment from individuals, The Veterans Administration, and Medicaid. Some LTC insurances also cover Adult Day services. Our staff will thourougly explore the funding options available to each client.
