Patient and Staff Code of Conduct
The following are a set of principles that shall apply to all patients, their family members and staff members at Elliot Primary Care at Londonderry, in order to create an atmosphere in which the level of patient care and satisfaction are maximized.
- Patients and staff shall be treated at all times with consideration and respect.
- Patients and staff shall be free from verbal, sexual, and physical abuse and harassment, specifically including the following:
Threatening to harm another individual or his/her family or property, either verbally or in writing.
Making harassing or threatening communications in the form of telephone calls, written messages or e-mails.
Engaging in harassing or intimidating behavior, including use of any type of profane language.
In conclusion, any conduct at all which creates a hostile, abusive or intimidating work environment for one or more employees, will not be tolerated.
Patients are responsible for following office rules and regulations and if they are unable to do so, they will be asked to leave the practice.
