H1N1 Flu Information Center

Welcome to Elliot’s H1N1 site for information about this flu and its vaccine.  We hope to provide you with helpful information in our FAQ’s and also guide those patients of Elliot doctors with procedure in getting the vaccine.  There will be updates made to this site, so please feel free to check in here and see what we have for up-to-date information and tools as we hope to help answer your questions and serve your needs.

 

SCREENING AT ELLIOT HOSPITAL
In order to protect the health of our patients, we have begun to screen visitors for influenza like illness on specific units including the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Maternity, Labor & Delivery and Pediatrics.  You may be asked to refrain from visiting if you have influenza like illness or you may be permitted on these units and asked to waer a mask.

For all visitors, if you have FEVER, COUGH OR SORE THROAT, please refrain from visiting others in the Hospital. Thank you.

The H1N1 vaccine is now available for ALL patients of an Elliot Primary Care Physician.
Please contact your Elliot Physician’s office to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine.

VACCINATION FOR ELLIOT PHYSICIAN NETWORK PATIENTS
The H1N1 vaccine is now available for patients of an Elliot Primary Care Physician who fall in one of the below target groups:

  • Pregnant Women
  • Health Care Workers with direct patient care
  • All children 6mos – 24 yrs
  • Persons caring for or living with infants < 6 months old
  • Persons 24 – 64 years of age with medical conditions
If you or a member of your family is among one of these groups, please contact your Elliot Physician’s office to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine.
